Noticed Numbness On The Right Side Of The Ear

I have been having trouble with my ear for about 4 months. One doctor said I have chronic otitis media. When I go to the doctor, they suction and one time cut something that looked like a piece of skin that was on my eardrum. On some days my ear feels almost normal. On others, it feels like it is numb right inside or heavy. Also behind my ear. Is driving me wild.

Hi, thanks for your query.
Analysing your symptoms of heaviness and numbness in the ear and behind the ear, you probably might have a ear infection or otitis media.
Otitis media is the infection of middle ear with or without perforation of ear drum.
In your case I do not know whether you have a perforation in the ear drum or not?
If in case you don't have perforation in ear drum , then probably decongestant medicine +antihistamines and valsalva exercises may help you.
If you have perforation in the ear drum, because of ear infection ,then untill the ear drum heals you will have this numbness , heaviness in ear.
If I were your treating doctor I would examine you clinically and advise for audio me try test and eustachian tube function test, to know the middle ear status.
Depending on the report I would you as above.
Hope I have answered your query. Thanks.
