Noticed Smoky Smell In Urine And Thick Mucus Discharge. Presently Breast Feeding. Cause?

I had a baby boy via cesarean a month ago. Recently my urine has smelled like smoke, or smoked ham. It doesn't burn when I pee but it hurts right as I get ready to stop peeing, like when my bladder is almost empty. Also I have had a snit green, thick mucus discharge from my vagina. Any relation? And what could be wrong? Also I am breastfeeding, could whatever this is
harm my son?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description the possibilities are :
Urinary tract infection, especially at the lower urinary tract.
-Associated vaginal infection.
So better to consult gynecologist once, get examined and go for urine microscopy and culture and sensitivity. ?
By this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
While giving the prescription you mention that you are breast feeding the baby, so that the doctor will write antibiotics that can be used during lactation.
Take care.
