Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

I would like to tell you that wisdom tooth is the last tooth to errupt in the oral cavity and is often impacted, tilted in poistion, this area is difficult to clean and often invites bacterial infection leading to pericoronitis.
This tooth does not have any significant role in mastication and occlussion so it is better to get it extracted if causing any problem.
Wisdom tooth extraction does not have any relation with the eyesight so you can savely plan for the removal.

Hope you find this information as helpful,

Regards..

hii,

I have gone through your query and the reason for your pain and swollen cheek is the infection progressing around your impacted right wisdom tooth
The wisdom tooth is last to erupt in the oral cavity and hence many a times due to lack of space it gets impacted and tilted within the bone.
The reason of infection around it is due to improper cleaning as it is the posterior most area. The only permanent treatment for it is the sugery..also its just a taboo that surgery may affect your eyesight.
The impaction surgery is very safe and please feel free to visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the same..take care..thank you

Hello,
It seems from the history that you are having impacted wisdom tooth, for which you are taking treatment with oral antibiotics and have been advised tooth extraction by your dentist.
Eye sight and tooth extraction are not related to each other, hence extraction of tooth will not affect your eye sight. I advice you to continue treatment for your dental condition as advised by your dentist.
Thank you

Hello ,
Thanks for writing to us.

Yes, you have to definitely undergo surgical extraction of that particular tooth after infection & swelling subsides.

Extraction of teeth never hurts or don't have any effect on eye sight as far as infection is limited to its periphery. So, you need not to worry about it.

Try to open your mouth at home at regular intervals to avoid more spasm which usually develops in such infections.

Keep your oral cavity clean to avoid secondary infections.

Take care.

Hiii,
we are here to give you the best advice.

wisdom tooth is the last tooth amongst the others and is often don't come out in normal position in many individuals. It can be trapped in bone or tilted which is half covered by gums, this area is difficult to clean and often invites bacterial infection leading to inflammation and pus formation in gum in that region. Or if it is tilted towards chick side it causes the trapping of chicks and repeated trauma to that region leading to swelling and pain.

As your dentist prescribed you the antibiotics, are necessary to cover the infection before and after the extraction.

In your case extraction of that tooth is the best treatment. Don't worry about the tooth as it wont create any problem in mastication.

Again I would like to tell you that there is no harm to your eye or eye site because of tooth removal as the nerves supplying teeth and eyes are totally different and independent.

Kindly give us feedback if you are satisfied by advice.

Take care.

Regards
