General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern. Nasal congestion can be overcome by use of nasal drops or spray containing Xylometazoline. In case you wish to minimise its use, you can use Saline nasal drops, which would help to relieve congestion to a fairly good extent. Also, giving steam inhalation twice daily would help to liquify mucous and facilitate it's easy drainage to relieve nasal congestion.

If the relief is not substantial by adopting to above measures, you need to get him checked by consulting ENT specialist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope the information provided would be helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further. All the best.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S
