Numb Hands, EMG Shows Mild Sensory Changes And No Motor Weakness. What Is It?

Hello, My 16 year old son has numb hands, for almost 5 months, constant/not intermittant. EMG s show mild sensory changes and no motor weakness. Thyroid, B12, diabetes, (common causes) etc have all been tested repeatedly, and he is negative. Not heavy metals or HIV (or any sexually transmitted disease ) either. Spinal tap is normal. Neurologist tested spinal fluid to rule out a sensory form of CIPD or Guillen-Barre. It is not Carpal Tunnel either. MRI of brain and spine looks fine. PT was no help. Where do we look next? Thanks. Rule out cervical rib. Try taking Amitryptylline 25 mg at night. Rule out stress and tension. Usually amitryptylline will work in one month .if it worked continue for 2 years. Take Methyvobal and multivitamin also. Give him calcium supplementation as well as some breathing exercises. Short exercises also help.
