Numbness, Heaviness In Arms, Short Of Breath, Racing Heart Better With Resting. Anxiety?

For the last few days I have times of my arms feeling numb and heavy. I feel short of breath and can feel my heart beating. This has happened when I am resting. Today I was using a shovel and the symptoms came on hard. I had to stop, sit for a while and take deep breaths. I think this is anxiety but I got concerned when exertion made it much worse.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you have not mentioned the age & sex ,so very difficult to evaluate the disease.
May be due to heart failure as exertion worsen .
anemia,
obesity,
lack of stamina .
So consult a physician and get his opinion as physical examination is very important.
Blood examination will find out exact cause.
Good luck.
