Numbness On Toes. Diagnosed Border Line Diabetic. Suggested For Lupus Test. Fibromyalgia. Suggest

Hi I have numbness on the outside of both of my great toes. It hurts bad at night when the sheets are putting some pressure on them. I am mostly in slippers or barefoot and rarely wear heels I was diagnosed as border line diabetic and also my sister said her Dr told her that all her sisters should be tested for lupus since my sister has lupus. I read that this can be caused by both and also it could be Fibromyalgia. I know I should go to the Dr but I have no insurance and no income at all. Anything you can tell me that will help? Anything I can do at home

Hello, thanks fro the query to H.C.M. Forum.

As far as concerned about LUPUS, i want to tell you one thing that almost everyone with LUPUS has joint pain and swelling, few may have arthritis.

In your case numbness and pain just due to touch is there.

These two things touch pain & numbness are suggestive of DIABETES, hence you have not mentioned your body weight so things are not very clear.

Presuming that your's weight is 80-90 kg than please don't think about any other disease except diabetes.

Peripheral neuritis and osteomylitis are two most common sequelae of diabetes, so think about these.

So get in blood examination in a lab for sugar level and also for lipid level and you will find out tha exact cause of your illness.
