Obese With Small Pus Filled Bumps On The Body. Due To Sweating Excessively?

Hello, I am a 24 year old female about 5'8 and about 222 pounds. My question is:
I have little bumps all over my body(not just areas I shave) and they all either have a hair in them or a hardened worm like white puss also I get a lot of under the skin pimples on my face. I do also sweat I believe an excessive amount. Is there anything I can do or a specialist I should see? I am in BC Canada

Hi
Thanks for your query

Your problem is that of multiple skin lesions of folliculitis.
Now first, we need to find the cause of recurrent folliculitis. Some of the common causes include obesity, oil application over the body, patients on steroids or other immunosuppresives and diabetics.

Now regarding the relation between obesity and folliculitis, these is increased sweating seen and increased friction between body folds due to weight gain.
Among some general precautions, you should wear bottom clothes to minimize sweating. Avoid using any kind of oils or creams over the body.
You should also get your blood glucose levels assessed once.
Now regarding the treatment, you will need a regular course of antibiotics along with pain killers.
In addition, you should use an antiseptic soap regularly for atleast two or three months regularly to get rid of the skin infection.
I would recommend that you should see a general physician or a dermatologist for your skin condition.

Hope it helps
