Occasional Fainting Normal? Cause?

I was wondering if occasional fainting is normal and what may be causing it? I usually faint after a night of drinking but it has also happened when I m talking to people. I just don t find it normal to faint whilst drinking or after because many of my friends drink the same amount or more and this never happens to them.

Hi,

The amount of alcohol that a person can tolerate varies from person to person, depending on factors like metabolism, number of years one has been drinking, etc. So what your friends can easily tolerate may be too much for you. And fainting after drinking is not normal. It is a signal for you to cut down as you are drinking much more than your body can tolerate. There is also a risk of injuring yourself, so please cut down. Also see a doctor so that you can be assessed for any other possible causes of fainting.

Best wishes.
