On And Off Cough Off, Antihistamines Give Temporary Relief, Burning Between Breast Area. Opinions ?

I have had a cough off and on for about 5 months. I have been to the doctors several times the first time it was during the winter month when it seemed to get worse with cold like symptoms and I was given an antibiotic. It seemed to give me some relief but then it came back again. I was also told to take an antihistamine, which also gave a temporary relief. I also get a burning feeling at times in between my breast area at times which I was told was acid reflex. I also noticed at times I get a sore/ scab around the rim of my nostril. After all this time at times my breathing sometimes feels a bit taxing but I really feel like these symptoms are all connected to a cause if I could find out what it is. Thank you for your assistance, I would appreciate your opinion. Sincerely, AAAA

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Let me explain ,
sneezing, running nose , watery eyes, itching in and around nose & eyes, cough ( dry), breathlessness, whistling ( wheezing )sound all these occurs due to allergy & known as allergic bronchitis.
Sorry to say later on turns into asthmatic allergic bronchitis , ( asthma).
Mite,
dust,
pollen,
mold,
fine dusting powder,
fumes, smokes,
sprays ( deodorant) ,
sudden fall or rise of temperature ,
humidity .
All these above mentioned factors are responsible for asthmatic allergic bronchitis.
Usually antibiotics don't play any role in its treatment .
Only antihistamine & bronchodilators play an important role.
Tension is also a causative factor, while strong coffee alleviates allergy ( helps in asthma).
Do exercises which increases stamina.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
