On Pacemaker Post Congestive Heart Failure, Recent Tests Show High Creatinine Level. Consultation Required?
My father is 86..he had congestive heart failure last summer and received a new pacemaker in August. last week he had a 2.34 reading on the creatinine test. Do you think I should ask for a referral for him to see a urologist or a nephrologist . He says he is doing fine and everything seems okay. I just want to make sure.
Hi,
A blood creatinine level of 2.34 at the age of 86 is definitely abnormal. Kindly will get some sort of damage in heart failure, because of less perfusion.
It is better to consult a neprologist. AN urologist is a surgeon.
Even though the heart condition is normalizing or normalized, renal problem should not become worse.
Wish him the speedy recovery.
