Outbreak Of Scalp Psoriasis, Scaly Patches, Itchy, Dry Scalp, Losing Hair. What Is Wrong?

I have just had a sudden outbreak of scalp psoriasis. It runs in my family and I do know what it looks like. I am getting concerned now. I am losing hair now, and it is moving down my neck and ears. This is very embarrassing. What would you recommend as an over the counter treatment to get rid of this fast? Also, what could have caused this? I have had a small amount of dry scalp, but nothing like this before. Itchy, scaly patches that are multipling by the day!
Thank you for your time.

Hi,
Firstly it should be diagnosed properly.
If it is psoriasis, it is chronic disease and should not try to treat by yourself.
Consult dermatologist and get examined and go for the treatment advised by dermatologist only.
Ok and take care.
