Ovaries Removed After Partial Hysterectomy, Endometriosis On Bladder. Lower Back Pain, Sore Abdomen. What Is It ?

I recently had my overies removed after having a partial hysterectomy 3 yrs ago. They dr found endometreosis on my bladder as well as other places. She removed what she could but couldn't remove it from my bladder in fear of damaging the bladder and ureter. Also had scar tissue due to this being my 3rd abdominal surgery. I am having lower back pain and am still very sore in my abdomen 3 weeks later almost 4 weeks. Hot flashes are also coming regularly no hrt. Should I see my dr again? I don't want her to think I'm just complaining.....

Hi

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic

Endometriosis is abnormal growth of endometrial cells which usually lines the uterus grows somewhere else. Endometriosis causes pain in the abdomen, lower back or pelvic areas which are often relieved by pain relieving medicines and hormones.

Primary goal of endometriosis treatment is relief of pain and/or enhancement of fertility if possible.

The hot flashes which you are experience is most probable side effect of medications prescribed to you. Hot flushes are common with Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs.

Kindly do visit your doctor I am sure she would not for a bit feel that you are complaining; on the contrary she can help you in relieving your pain and hot flushes.

Wishing you a fast recovery and excellent standard of living.

Hope that answers your query

Take Care :)
