Pcod or polycystic ovarian disease is characterised by delayed periods, obesity and hirsuitism.
This problem cannot be completely cured by any medicines.
The treatment for patients of pcod comprises of taking birth control pills or oral contraceptives for 21 consecutive nights after dinner beginning from the 5th day of the menstrual cycle.
This needs to be taken each month in the same manner till the patient desires but you need to stop this once you want to conceive.
Patients with pcod might have some difficulty in getting pregnant as they do not know when they would menstruate and hence cannot judge when ovulation will occur.they might need some help in the form of medicines.
Regestrone contains very high dosage of hormones so i don't recommend frequent usage.
You can start using oral contraceptives like diane35 or dronis 35.
They will help you.
