i had a supra pubic placed 10 days ago. about 4 days later i was having burning, stabbing type pain from the incision sight down into my penis. Now the pain from incision to end of penis is gone but i have pain that starts above the groin area and goes into the penis, severe burning, cuttings, stabbing pain that is not relieved by strong opieds, just changing positioin can bring these pains on. can last anywhere from 30 seconds to over a minute and may repeat within 1 minute to maybe upto 3 hours apart. Am in desperate need of help. Jeff
First thing you should think of is urinary tract infection caused by the catheter placed in your bladder. This catheter is a potential source of bacteria. Symptoms you have including pain radiating to the groin, burning are characteristic for urinary tract infection. Other possible symptoms are fever and lower abdominal pain. I suggest you to visit your doctor and have antibiotic prescribed. In a meanwhile, urine analysis and urine culture test should be done.
Hope this will help. Regards.
