Pain At The Tip Of Penis, Discomfort. Treated With Zithromax, Doxycyclene, Still In Pain. Cure ?
I have had pain at the tip of my penis and a feeling of discomfort coming from within it.No discharge ,but am worried I could pass it too my spouse.Had sex with condom and it came off.Treated with zithromax and it didnt help.Am now on doxycyclene and still feel pain.Still no discharge.Ithink according to symptoms it might be trich.Does doxycyclene help cure it?
The drugs you took are very appropriate, especially if there is an associated infection. The risk of this being an infection was very high considering risky sexual exposure. However, an explanation of why the pain is persisting is needed. This could be because the treatment or drugs used are not sensitive/cannot destroy the causative bacteria (resistance) or the drugs are taken inappropriately. A urethral swab sent to the laboratory for culture and sensitivity testing could help. Non infectious causes should not be forgotten. A proper evaluation by a urologist could give more help in my humble opinion. I suggest you book an appointment with one. Kind regards.
