Pain In Esophagus, Chest. Pulmonary Emboli Negative. EKG Normal. Prescribed Omeprezole, Antibiotic. Lump In Throat, Excess Saliva. Treatment?

I started with sudden onset esophageal pain that by the next day symptoms progressed to shortness of breath, impossible to lie down and severe chest pain. The ER tested me for pulmonary emboli by CAT scan results were negative. EKG also came back normal. Strep culture also negative. My family Dr said reflux prescribed me omeprezole & antibiotic. Everything settled down for 6 days but I still had a lump in my throat with excess salivation. Then initial symptoms returned went to ENT nasal scope revealed no lesions or ulcers. Dr prescribed nexium. Things have settled once again but still have severe nausea, lump in throat, still can't lie down, and now dizziness, lethargy, huge belly, baking soda taste with white foam upon massive deep belching and constipation. HELP!

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As you mentioned that every time you got relief with drugs like proton pump inhibitors as omeprazole , nexium.
Still you are having nausea , belching, constipation, lump in throat , salivation.
I would come up with these possibilities , these includes .
1 The first possibility is of peptic ulcer disease or hiatus hernia. Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy. Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2 hours before you lie down.To help control the stomach acid one should drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or spicy food or greasy food . Also take some antacid ( oxetacaine in them ).
2 Hyper tension may be the next reason , diagnosis can be confirmed by examination for B P at the time of onset .
3 As pulmonary embolism present so examination of lipid profile is also important .
In my opinion deal according to above mentioned measures.
Good luck. Dr. HET
