Pain In Front And Side Of Neck, Hair Loss, Pain And Skin Cracking In Fingers. History Of Childbirth From C-section. Recommend For Good Health
I am having some pain in the front and side of neck, some hair loss, and pain and skin cracking on fingers. I am 43 and I had an emergency c section 1 1/2 years ago. Still don't feel 100% like my old self. Could anethesia, induction, etc. upset the thyroid and cause long term health issues? If so, is it reversable? How can I get full health back?
The c section would not explain your present symptoms. The medication used for anesthetics during surgery may cause acute symptoms after the procedure but these would not persist for this period of time.
There are different causes for hair loss that you can explore such as (1) anemia, (2)thyroid disease- low levels of the hormone (3)telogen effluvium- this is hair loss that can occur after extreme stress, extreme weight loss, major surgery (4)hereditary hair loss (5)lupus (6) diseases of the scalp (7)alopecia areata
You may want to consider visiting your doctor to determine if any of these may be the cause of your symptoms.
I hope this helps
