Pain In Left Shoulder And Arm, Throbbing Pain Above Elbow. Heart Attack?

I have pain in my left shoulder and arm . I went to the doctor to have it checked out and she said it may be burcitus. She took an x-ray and I m waiting for results. In the meantime the pain has gone from my shoulder down my arm like a throbbing pain right above my elbow . It s so uncomfortable it has woke me up. Should I go to the emergency room? Could it be a heart attack?

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
That is a possibility but there would need to be further testing. If the doctor told you it was alright to take an antiinflammatory that could be beneficial while you wait for results.
