Pain In Nipple Area, Red And Swollen Aeriola, Faint Ring On Right Side Of Nipple Area. Suggestions?

I'm a 17 year old girl and I just noticed this morning a pain in my nipple area. I looked at it in the mirror and on the bottom part of my aeriola it's a little red and a little larger like it's swollen and on the right side of my nipple area on the left breast, there's a faint red ring. This has never happened before and I have no idea what could've caused it.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Before menstrual cycle some amount of pain and little bit of swelling of breasts are common.
But as you are having unilateral pain with swelling and redness, better to get examined once.
That could be due to infection or there could be some other cause.
So consult gynecologist once, get examined and if needed go for mammogram.
Don't worry there may not be serious problem but better to rule out.
