hi..
thanks for using HCM..
you have acute pharyngitis, that is causing sore throat, diffficulty in swallowing food..
see your ENT surgeon for the diagnosis and management..
you need to take antibiotics and analgesics..
do also salt water gargling and start with multivitamins..
all the very best..

ENT Specialist Dr. Vaishali Mehta's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to HCM. You seem to be having a pharyngitis which is an infection of your throat. Pain and difficulty while swallowing does indicate an acute infection.
I would recommend you to do warm saline gargles and take an analgesic like ibuprofen. Avoid smoking/ alcohol/ cold and acidic foods. If not better, see an ENT Specialist, as you may need prescription antibiotics or may require further testing of the throat with a throat swab. Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any other doubts.

Kind Regards,
Dr Vaishali
