Pain In The Shoulder, Lump Near The Thyroid. History Of Hypothyroidism. Is This Thyroid Related?
Have hx of hypothyroid, noticed throat has been hurting on left side, pain moves around a little anatomically, but hurts down to shoulder at times, also had a night it felt bruised inside when swallowing food. This morning found what feels like a lump either on or possibly beside hyroid ...not sure if this is thyroid related, lymph or artery??? I know I will HAVE to be seen...wondering if it sounds familiar to you as a physician.
dear ma'm, thanks for putting up a query to HCM. though the status by your history is not very clear and you are very right you need to be seen by a doctor. pls confirm your thyroid function status in the first place, secondly pls get a USG neck done to find out about the lump. what it is? is it a lymph node, a thyroid nodule, or anything else. then see your doctor with the reports. your shoulder pain can as well be explained by the thyroid function status and the nodule. regards!
