Pain In The Top Of Left Foot, Toe Burning. Due To Pinched Nerve?

Hi just recently been experiencing pain in the top of my left foot toes that burns and stings for a few seconds then stops
fell a few weeks back a sprained right foot also may have torn ligaments in left shoulder, also have rods & screws in back, dr says it could be nerve pinched, put Ice on it , I think it is more serious then that, ???

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

As your burning and stinging sensation is only short lived and infrequent, I think there is no serious underlying pathology. It could possibly due a cutaneous nerve irritation or compression which should resolve on its own.

Use of neurotropic medicines like Methylcobalamine or Pregabalin may help in alleviating your symptoms.
