Pain In Throat. Drank All Out Repellent Year Back, Vomited It. Cause Of Pain In Throat?

hii doctor, 1 year back i drank some of the 'all out' the mosquito repellant. Immediately my friends made me to vomit through salt water and all. The whole day they made me to vomit until it was all out. But thenafter we didn't go for any medical treatment coz we were scared. Now it's been one year, i am well. But i wanted to ask whether is there anything which can cause any problem coz after that i fell with my health and could not recover till now. At times i feel pain in my throat, so i get confused whether its bcoz of that repellant or something else. The amount was very less which i took and more than that i vomitted. So, could u help me out with this. Is there really some problem or its just my imitation?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi and thanks for the query,

The most likely cause of the pain should be an irritation or an acute inflammation. This shall require a careful evaluation and management. An endoscopic examination to evaluate the extent of the lesions could be very useful. treatment should range from simple analgesics, non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs taking care of stomach irritation. Intense and aggressive treatment is required in order to avoid a common serious complication like stenosis or reduction in the throat lumen. examination of the lungs is also necessary to exclude aspiration pneumonia which could be fatal in some neglected situations. this might require a chest X ray.

I suggest you do consult your primary care physician for a complete clinical review. Thanks and kind regards.
