Pain In Tip Of Urethra, Recurring. Had Unprotected Sex With New Partner. Underlying Cause?

Hi Doc, I need some help. I had unprotected sex with a new female partner a few weeks ago and just recently within the last 3 days iv been experiencing a stinging pain in the very tip of my urethra, it comes and goes but when it comes it's very sharp and stings for a second or two, iv had this before and it cleared up with basically drowning myself by drinking cranberry juice. What could this be? An std ? Trauma ? Uti ? Please help

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Burning sensation at the tip of penis ( urethra ) may be due to .
1 Urinary tract system stone , anywhere in kidney , ureter, bladder or urethra . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of all urinary tract system.
2 may be urinary tract system infection. Diagnosis can be confirmed by culture and sensitivity test of urine.
3 Least possible chance of S T D . Diagnosis can be confirmed by blood examination for std ( VDRL ).
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck. Dr. Het

Thanks for query on HCM.
There are chances of std because you had unprotected sex with new female.
Otherwise it might be due to some cut or abrasion on it after sex, even it also occurs during passage of small stone and crystals in the urinary tract and uti.
You have to go for investigations to confirm the diagnosis.Go for cbc, urine, usg abdomen.
Get examined by your family physician to confirm the std development and treatment according to investigations.
Drink more water and other liquids.
Avoid unprotected sex.Avoid tight under garments.Take proper local care.
