Pain Inside Forearm, Veins Protruding From Arm. History Of Phlebitis After Drawing Blood. Treatment?

Hi, after my recent flight to, I started having inside forearm pain. It s tender to touch and the veins stick out and more visible in that arm. I have a history of three dvr s, but all in one leg. Should I be concerned with the arm? I also have a history of phlebitis after a blood drawn that required hospitalization.

Hi there ~

If the veins are protruding and there is a history of phlebitis you probably have a case of infection of your veins. I would advise that you see a physician immediately to get started on antibiotics and consult a surgeon to get relief from the thrombophlebitis, so that it may not progress to a more severe condition. I hope this helps. Take care and have a good day !
