Painful Purple Bump On Groin Area, Turned Into Hole. Suggestion?

A few days ago I woke up with a painful purple bump above my groin area. I thought that I had a ingrown hair . After 2-3 days it has turned into a hole, a size of a ear piercing and you can see inside of it. There was no kind of liquid that came out of it. It hurts to move and even take showers. This happened around the time where i was depressed one day. Any idea of what it can be?

Hi your explanation suggests folliculitis or hair follicle infection. Apply topical fusidic acid ointment and take tab Paracetamol 650 twice daily for a day for 2 days. These will help you. If it does not heal in couple of days then consult your doctor for further evaluation or get back to us with the photograph.
