ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to HCM,

What specific treatment did you take for your infection? If you had taken strong antibiotic medications then it can definitely cause the symptoms you described.
Meanwhile get yourself examined by your doctor who will probably need to look into these:
1. Rule out any active infection or mucositis
2. Rule out symptoms of reflux and start anti reflux treatment if deemed necessary
3. Avoid any spicy food and strong pain medications which will actually worsen your symptoms
4. If the soreness does not go with treatment the doctor may consider further tests

take care and get well soon
