Painful Spot On Penis, Solid Lump, Grown Overnight, Pain On Applying Pressure. Treatment?

I am male 16, I have a general slightly painful spot about 1cm-1inch above the start of the penis , the lump IS solid under the skin for about 1cm deep or further, and sort of resembles a teenage zit in appearance. It first appeared last night and that was on the first night that i slept on a new mattress in bed, there was no sign earlier than this morning, so it has grown overnight. it does get to moderately painful when i set down or apply pressure on it in anyway, any advice?

Hi Dear thanks for your question, the lump which your mentioning at the root of penis could be an infected hair follicle or enlargement of lymph node, which is infected.It as nothing to do with new mattress,it is just by chance that you have got infection on the day you used new mattress.Relax take a course of antibiotic for 5 days ,it will subside .

Dear gameboffin

The symptoms you discribe are suggestibe of a furuncle ( boil )

1. apply topical antibiotic mupirocin ointemnt
2. a hot wash cloth 2 to 3 times a day to help it discharge
3. a over the counter painkiller if the pain is severe
4. keep the area clean , if the boil discharges wash with a antispetic soap
