Painful Stomach, Intense Pain, Radiates Up. Drank Cold Water. What Is The Problem?

I've had three episodes over the last several months, one just a few minutes ago, of intense pain in my stomach that radiates up...laid down and put my arms behind my head, took three Tums and then drank some cold water....after about five minutes I was able to belch several times and now feel much better...what's the problem?

Hi welcome to Healthc are magic forum.
Thanks for caling H.C.M.Forum.
You had intense pain in the stomach, radiates up, you laid down, keep arms behind the head, drank cold water, then had belches several times and had relief.
It appears to be due to gastric irritation , due to peptic ulcer, or gastric irritation due to irritant foods.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.you may need to have gastroscopy besides other routine tests for confirmation.
Avoid taking more of spices, junk foods, and oily foods.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
