hello doctor. i have swelling on my neck and shoulder , it was very pain full, i saw a doctor ,he give me the antibiotics .he told me it is trought infeaction.i have the medicain for one week .but no change. now it is more than 4 weeks. now still painning,i noticed small lump in between ear and neck. after tat i went to doctor he told to have medicine tor 2 weeks.all 3 week i have the antibiotic.but now slightly pain chainges.swelling still their. lump still their.pain still their in my trought and neck. wat is this cause,
The swelling in the neck could be lymph nodes which have got enlarged as a result of throat infection that you had. They should subside in a matter of time since you have already taken antibiotics. If they persist beyond say 2 to 3 weeks you can go in for a FNAC of the gland to establish the diagnosis.
