Painless Lump On The Head. No Injury. Concerned

Hi Doctor, I have a lump on my head about the size of a acorn in diamater. Not patruding just a light swelling of my skin, its not sore if I press on it softly. I'm so worried!! I did not bump my head or get hurt in anyway. This lump started today as I had a shower and I would have noticed it if it were there this morning.

Hir,
Thanks for writing in.
The lump you are describing can be lipoma or sebaceous cyst.
Both are benign swellings of common occurrence.
You need to visit your general physician or surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment. You can do this on appointment basis .There is nothing to be worried about.
Hope this helps.
