Passed Kidney Stone, Now Have Severe Bloating, Tenderness In Abdomen, Pain On Walking And Lying Down. Is This Normal?

Hi, I just passed a 4mm kidney stone yesterday morning. But now I am very bloated and my abdomen is very tender. It hurts when I walk and lay down. Last night I had to sleep sitting up. I havent gone #2 in four days and don t even feel the need to which is what worries me. What should I take? Is this normal after passing a kidney stone? Thanks.

Dear friend, welcome to HCM.

Is your pain constant or comes on and off like a colic?
Was an Xray KUB or sonography done for the stones?
Have you passed adequate urine?

There could be another one.
There could be complications like dilatation or infection.

You should see your doctor to get evaluated for anything serious. Urine routine, USG and Xray KUB will be needed.

Take OTC pain killer like paracetamol till then.
Drink lot of water if no kidney failure declared by your doctor.

Take care and keep me updated on your progress.
Good luck !!
