Periods Started After Due Date, Continues Bleeding, Form Of Clots, Scan Shows Thick Lining Inside

Dear

My wife's periods started after due date and once they started they do not stop till and it has been three months.bleeding comes in the form of clots sometime its spots.
Doctors did pregnancy test it was negative and they did ultrasound too n said us that some kind of lining is thick inside.
So, I kindly request you to suggest us what to do.
