Persistent Movable Lump Without Pain Above Collarbone After Treatment For Cat Scratch Fever. Advice?

I had a lump appear above my collarbone about two months ago. It was large enough to see from just looking at my neck . i went to emergency care, the doc was not sure. just diagnosed it as cat scratch fever from looking at it. i took a strong antibiotic he perscribed me to rid infection. I still have the lump... but it has gone way down, and is much smaller than at first. No pain. mooves around a little. small.

Hi,

I do not think it was a cat scratch. It usually does not present as a visible lump. Even if so, it should have gone away completely by now.

It is possible that it is an enlarged lymph node. A FNAC or Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy and Cytology of the lump can ascertain the exact cause of this.

It is done as an office procedure. Please discuss about this with your treating doctor.
