Persistent Swelling, No Warmness Or Redness Pot Treatment For Cellulitis. Cause?

I was hospitalized for cellulitis on my right foot . I was on intravenous antibiotics for 4 days and then sent home with an oral antibiotic to take for another week. Well it s been over a week since I finished the oral antibiotics and thought my foot is no longer red and hot to the touch, the swelling is still present. Is this normal and if so how long will it last?

Hello Dear,

Welcome here on healthcaremagic dot com a site for solving your health problem online by qualified healthcare professional.

I am very much concerned with your problem and certainly will guide you how to get rid of these.

In my view

This is not normal till there is nothing noticed by you there.

Normally you must have completely cured till this time.

But the problem is still there so you have to take more treatment.

I suggest you to

Visit your family doctor for a detail close examination and advice for further treatment.

Good Luck.
