Persisting Congestion, Night Sweats, Body Weakness, Blood On Blowing Nose. Had Taken Medicines For Sinusitis. Reason?
Hello I had sinusitis about two weeks ago. I was put on amoxicillin and Flonase . I completed my antibiotic . I then noticed when I blew my nose nothing but blood came out. Now I am still congested, I am having sweats at night, my legs and arms hurt, my body feels very weak. I have been mostly sleeping. I also have a constant cough with green mucusy foam that comes. Up I am wondering what this could be
Some amount of blood from nose and cough is common after any infection especially affecting the sinuses. Having said that, extensive bleeding which is persistent is not a good sign. If the bleeding and cough continues you need to see an ENT as soon as possible who can suggest a good work up which includes a blood coagulation profile and also a nasal endoscopy along with CT of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
try steam inhalation, avoid spicy/cold and oily food do not strain your voice and do not attempt to forcefully blow your nose
take care and get well soon
