Physically Fit But Having Slow Heart Rate. Does Fewer And Stronger Pump Lead To High Blood Pressure?
I am a physically fit 44 year old male. I run several times a week. My hear rate has always been slow (as was my father s) and the fitter I get the slower it gets. Also, when I am out of shape my heart rate increases. My resting heart rate in my current state of physical fitness is 35 (I do not feel dizzy or tired all the time, and my heart rate increases when I work out). My blood pressure seems to be getting a little higher now though, although not too high, averaging aroun 122/70. My take on my resting heart rate being 35 is my heart is very efficient at pumping blood around my body and it seems to me that with fewer, stronger pumps per minute this could cause blood pressure to run a little higher. I am right about this?
HI Thank for asking HCM No I am sorry you are thinking in wrong way this is not the case, the heart rate and the contractility of heart are two different things and irrelevant with each other, the heart rate of 35/minuit is too low it can be said sinus bradycardia, for further finding echo study is must, have nice day.
