Pieces Of Skin On Towel After Bathing, Closing Wound On Breast. Normal Blood Sugar, Elevated Cholesterol. Are These Related?
hi. it seems as if the skin between my buttocks is changing. when I bathe I see little pieces of skin on the towel. I dont know what to do. I usually put baby powder there after each bathe, but maybe this is happening because I'm over drying the skin by using powder? what do you think? I'm now using vaseline to try and correct this.
also, there's a slow closing wound on my breast near the armpit. I think I accidently cut myself while shaving and dont remember. still...I noticed this four or so days ago and it still hasnt scabbed over yet. and, I would have shaved two weeks ago. so, by any measure this is too long to still be open. I've had my blood surgar tested recently and its normal, my cholesterol was 233 though. Could that cause any of this ?
hi. Pieces of skin on towel could be because your skin has got macerated in that area due to sweat getting trapped and making the skin macerated and friable so that it easily comes off. There might also be an element of candidal superinfection.
After bath let it air dry. Use an antifungal dusting powder twice or thrice daily. It will keep the area dry and will help cure fungal superinfection
