Pinkish Spots On The Lower Lip. How Can I Get The Natural Color Back?

Hi! I have light two pink blotches/spots on my lower lip and I m wondering if my lip color will ever return to its normal color again? I ve had this problem for about 2 years and I was hoping there was something that I could do to restore my bottom lip back to its normal shade. I noticed the change during the Winter season when my lips became severely chapped and I didn t have a chap stick/or moisturizer to put on them. Therefore, I ended up peeling the dry skin off which I immediately noticed the pink spots. I was hoping the color would return after a few months but unfortunately it never did. What would you suggest that I do and do you believe that the color will ever come back? Please help me as this is very embarrassing to me and I would like to correct it if it s possible

Hello,

First of all you should understand that the layer covering the lip is a mucosa and not skin. That is you you will not find hair growing from the lip.
During the winter the lip cracks due to dryness.
Instead of moisturizing you had removed the layer and damaged the mucosa.
It has healed with a scar. Those scars are the pink spots.
Topical application may not help.
If you're very eager to get rid of it than consult a plastic surgeon.
