Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern, but the two most common scenarios associated with a pinkish discharge are:
-The first few days of a period
-Infections
As mentioned by you, although your period is around the corner, we still have a good 7 days (approximately) before your period starts. This, along with the presence of blood are the signs of some underlying abnormality, which will have to be diagnosed.
The first step of which would be to find the exact site from where the bleed is occuring. Is it the
urethra or the vagina? Once we know the site of bleed, we can narrow down the search the find the cause. Also, you should be experiencing other symptoms as well, like:
-Burning sensation while urinating
-Frequent urination
-Increased urge to urinate, but less amount of urine passed
-Chills
-Fever
-Lower abdominal and/or flank region pain
-Itching around the genitals
-Blood in urine or immediately after (not always seen)
I would advise you to visit a doctor and get your urine analyzed, but not before a physical examination, which will provide significant amount of information. Do not worry, if this is indeed an infection, it should be easily treated within a duration of 7-14 days.
In the meantime, please consume plenty of water, keep the region clean and dry; and abstain from sexual contact.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
