General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. All the patients subjected to the operation of any sort always are nervous. As you are 60 years old and have gone through a long weathering of life, why are you worried. It is true that many consultants overdo explanations and possible complications. He/ She must have also told you the benefits of surgery. Have a faith in yourself and your treating Doctor. !8 cm fibroid needs removal. everything is going to be fine. Positive attitude helps fast recovery.
