Planning For An Abortion. What Should Be The Dosage For Mifepristone And Misoprstol?

Hi Dr. Samuel,
my wife missed her periods this month which was due on the 8th of may , we did a strip test 4 times on different days and got the same result, she is pregnant and we want to medically abort . could you please suggest me the right way to go about mifepristone and misoprostol tablets the dosage and usage for the best and safest abortion process .

Thanks for the query.
You should not use the tablets without consulting the doctor.
You once consult gynecologist, get examined and go for one ultrasound.
Ultrasound is needed to confirm the intrauterine pregnancy, the gestational age and to rule out the ectopic pregnancy.
After that with your doctor's advice she can take the tablets.
In early gestation tablets will help in completing the abortion process and usually surgical procedure is not needed.
