Please Suggest Remedy For Pain And Discoloration In Elbow

My elbow turned has a large black & blue following a sharp pain in my elbow, when I was driving. I didn t injury my elbow or over use it in any way. First it was pain, then black & blue. I have tingling in my forearm and fingers of the same arm. I also feel pressure in the arm. It seems to get more aggravated when I use it for anything. I am concerned I may have a blood clot?? Should I go to the ER?

hi.

noted history of pain and elbow discoloration secondary to injury. it may just be an inflammatory reaction. the swelling/bruising will spontaneously subside in a few days time. analgesics and application of cold compress may help alleviate the pain and decrease the swelling faster. if the symptoms are progressive, a consult with a doctor is best, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. other conditions such as fracture must also be ruled-out. diagnostics (such as xray) and management will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
