Plugged Ear, Ringing Ears, Numbness On Head, Diagnosed As Ear Infection. Taking Antibiotics. Suggestions?
I have had a plugged rigth ear for 1 month. I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with ear infection. They prescribed Zpak for 5 days. That did not cure it. I went back a week ago and they prescribed a second antibiotic for 7 days and ear drops. Still not cured. Right ear has ringing and I have numbness on right side of head.
Hello.By your symptoms seem, really, that you suffers an ear infection Treatment with oral antibiotic and drops antibiotic is correct but is not correct the oral antibiotic used,"Zpak"(azythromycin).Another antibiotics such as amoxicillin or amoxicillin combined with clavulanic acid are more effective to treat ear infection.Taking these drugs(Prescribed by a physician),your infection will resolve. I wish you good health (In case the answer would have been useful please indicate this)
