Pregnant. Coughing Blood And Taking Treatment For VSD. Cause And Cure?

My sister 22 years old, Married six months back. Now she is carrying 2 months pregnancy & coughing with blood. Earlier in 2009 she was taking treatment from Narayana Hrudalaya, Bangalore for VSD. Doctors suggested to not to plan for her marriage. But, She got married as she was interested. She looks healthy with 48 kg body weight & does all of her family activity by own. Now I need your suggestion about her health

After going through history she has Ventricular septal defect and she is pregnant.
Blood in sputum(Cough) can be there due to various causes like infection Pneumonia or Bronchitis, Tuberculosis but it may also result from Pulmonary hypertension secondary to shunt from left to right heart.
Please visit Cardiologist and get her evaluated clinically as well as Complete blood count, 2 D Echocardiography, X ray chest with protection shield may be done to know the cause. MRI of Lungs may be done to avoid radiation hazard.Even bronchoscopy may be useful to know the cause of Hemoptysis.
Treatment depends on cause. if shunt lesion is compensated then it may be possible to continue pregnancy.
