Pregnant. Feel Low Tilted Cervix. Have Period Like Pain. Suggestions?

Hi I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and getting what can only be described as tight sensation every now and then. I seem to be carrying my baby Low as his kicks are low down,my son was born at 34 weeks and Im panicking more than snything, have abit of period type pain but again could be normal as everything is growing rapidly. I'm
By no means in pain just unsure of whether it's braxton hicks or what? As never really had them with my son. Baby is moving ok and as I say I did have a low tilted cervix. Any advice would be great

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Given the history of a prior pre-term birth, 'tightening' sensation, and pain in the cervical area, you need your cervix evaluated. This is best done with a vaginal ultrasound to measure the cervical length. It is not typical that this would be a problem at this point, but you are at increased risk for a preterm birth again, and this should be evaluated as soon as possible.
