Pregnant. Foetal Pole, Yolk And Sac Normal. No Heartbeat. Problem?

Hi, I'm really concerned and don't know what to think...

Had vaginal u/s scan on Monday 3rd and should've been 7 weeks since lmp (lmp was 15th April). I visited an early pregnancy unit as had had some light bleeding - pinkish then brown a week before and on and off leading up to the scan. They said the foetal pole, yolk and sac were all in the right place and cry was 3.3.mm. They said they would've expected a heartbeat and I should be prepared for the worst. My cycles are irregular, often 23 days but sometimes up to 31 days. I'd appreciate any advice. They have booked me in for another scan in a week's time.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Sorry, to say but if heart beat is not present at 7weeks of pregnancy and if you are having bleeding chances of miscarriage are more so you should wait for another 1week to see the result of the scan.
You should consult a gynaecologist for support of pregnancy.
Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Good luck.
Take care
