Pregnant. Have MS. Feeling Of Electric Shocks In Chest. What Could It Be?
I have these sudden onset jolts or feeling of electric shock in my chest , only when im laying down, lasts a second or two. No pain, no irregular heartbeat , nothing. This is the 4th time its happened in the last couple months. Im 29, also pregnant with my 4th child and i have MS. Any idea what this might be? Gas? Indigestion? Weight gain?
Hello
thank you for your query.
What you describe is definitely not normal.
Gas or indigestion would not cause electric shock or jolt like feeling in the chest.
Since you are a patient of MS ( cardiac disease - I assume MS means mitral stenosis ) and not multiple sclerosis, you should go in for an assessment and complete opinion by a Cardiologist.
Also consult your obstetrician regarding this issue.
IT is an unusual symptom to have in pregnancy, and needs evaluation on account of your history of heart disease.
take care.
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The sudden electric shock like feeling in the chest during pregnancy is likely to be related to vitamin B complex deficiency or an electrolyte imbalance. Taking adequate supplements will help in reducing the symptoms.
