My wife has got an infected lower leg and ankle and cannot walk from pain. It all started with a tiny amount of pus at the root of a hair. After the pus was out the skin healed and turned brown then grew sold and red all around. After that it just grew till it reached the ankle. Antibiotics didn't work as she is pregnant and she cannot take strong ones.

Hello,

It all started with folliculitis. Bacterial infection to the hair follicle.
Pregnant women are prone for infections.
This infection as spread to the surrounding area and caused cellulitis.
Just check her blood sugar for any Gestational diabetes.
Penicillin group of antibiotics are safe in pregnancy and quite effective for this type of infections.
